Dan Cong


This Dan Cong Oolong Tea is produced in the township of Feng Huang, Wu Dong Mountain, Guangdong Province, China by the 2nd generation tea farming Wang family.   It is pure hand made with very limited quantities produced each year.   

Dan Cong Oolong Tea is known for its complex production methods. Dan Cong is made of the tea leaves coming from the same tea tree, and method of tea making needs to be adjusted according to different seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Thus, it is difficult to make this kind of tea in bulk.

After the leaf is plucked from a single tree  it will undergo 20 hours of withering, rolling, fermentation and repeated baking. The best Dan Cong Oolong Tea tastes sweet with a noticeable aroma.

The tea comes with a colorful and interesting title: Duck Shit and there are a quite few stories about the name and its origin.  However it is a jaw dropping, gorgeous tea even if it does have a name to remember.

This tea can be infused up to 8 times
